How to keep fit and laugh

Created by Susan 3 years ago

I first started going to Chris's classes 10 years ago, when I waddled rather than walked. From that first time, I knew her classes were fun, varied and that this was something I could keep up.  And a bonus, I found that a couple of friends also went there.  As soon as Chris started Zumba, I was hooked.  I Loved dancing, couldn't tell my left from my right, and neither could half the class.  The number of times Chris would stop the routines in absolute giggles of laughter, just trying to get us all to move together.  Well, that was probably the only thing Chris didn't achieve.  I also loved how passionate she was about her knowledge of food and diet, always trying to educate us on healthy eating.

And though all of this, was a wonderfully warm, kind, funny and understanding woman.  Also strong and supportive, you could always share a story with Chris, and I bet she heard hundreds. I know that when I was really down, I could go to Chris's classes and just 'be'. A tribute to our lovely departed friend, are the groups of women she brought together, who have formed friendships. No back biting, no ridiculing, just support and always with fun.

Thank you for being my friend Chris. Will always remember your laughter , and will always miss you. Hope you're dancing the night away, wherever you are.
